A Great Blue from the other morning on a stick run.
This year the Herons have been gathering materials along the edge of the swamp instead of the nearby woods. This makes it easier for open shots like this. They will pick this clean in short order though.

We have nice light often this time of year, of course half the year we get tropical hot glaringly sun, a trade off lol

Well, Ted, it looks like the year ahead will be full of surprises. Whether they’ll all be good, and for whom, remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure—I’m bracing myself for what might unfold in various countries. Let’s hope it all ends peacefully.
