A Local Out Warming Up, Alligator

A Local Out Warming Up, Alligator

One of the first sights that greets us as we walk out of the woods to the swamp rookery. This was shot between branches and trees on the edge of the swamp.

I may not get some images of Egrets or Herons, or maybe much of anything. Some days are slow, but I’m pretty sure an Alligator will be greeting me.

I’m not going home empty handed.

  1. I was on my phone on YouTube and this short I think it was came up and 3 guys were in a boat and there was a big fat crocodile or gator, don’t know which half in the boat. I thought of you naturally.

    1. 😂😂, I’ve heard that said about me 🤣. So… about 9 years ago we were out in the hinterlands with some local photographers. We were just learning some of the ‘remote’ places to shoot. I of course looked for Alligators. At some point a dike was looking a little overgrown to walk. Someone’s said, “let’s send Gator Bait” to check it.

Yes, in certain places that nickname stuck 😝😝😝
