Walking around the back loop in this swamp has been more active than it’s been for years. In the past there was a big small bird rookery (Snowy, Little Blue, etc) but that disappeared a while ago.
The Great Blues have set up house somewhere nearby and are coming here for food and sticks. It’s a bit thick here but the birds fly through open spots. All about timing here.
