The first photo was taken in the Orlando Wetlands, Christmas Fl. The others are from Port Royal, South Carolina. There was a time I thought I was organized… maybe not so much any more LOL.

This in flight group was as a bird went through a rookery towards a nesting area. The background has numerous Egrets and Storks together.

Last has an Egret over the water alongside a big island that is filled with nests. In the past this was the main rookery. Starting last year more birds arrived than the island could support. Hundreds are now in another island area further, but still visible enough for a long lens.

Love that first shot, Great Egret with the Spanish Moss background. As common as Spanish Moss is here, I haven’t seen it adorning any rookery photos yet – so you have something really special.
Thanks. I think I’ve posted a number of them. Our local rookery is in Cypress trees with moss.
