A passing Wood Stork against the lush green colors of a spring swamp. This thick vegetation makes for a great background.

The space between the tree line and nesting island is not very far. Probably three or four images is all you have time for, at best.

For me this is a hard spot. The only way to get this is to wait, watch and wait, and maybe you’ll be ready the second a Stork drops down to fly. Usually more patience than I have.
