The Circular Congregational Church is a historic church building at 150 Meeting Street in Charleston, South Carolina, used by a congregation established in 1681.

The “dissenters” erected a Meeting House. English Congregationalists, Scots Presbyterians, and French Huguenots were the founders.

The church was bombed during the US Revolutionary War, again during our Civil War, throw in one of the largest Earthquakes, and a fire… lots of repairs.

It was designed by Charleston’s leading architect who also designed the Washington Monument in Washington D.C.

The headstones in this graveyard is like a history book of the countries founders, and a number who wanted out of the union through a civil war.
