Salt marshes are less than pretty at times. However the local residents add a bit of color.
The other day Roseate Spoonbills were working the low water in a cut. I cannot pass up a Spoonbill.

Recently learned that they’re born white.
When first born they are white, almost translucent, after they leave the nest a soft faded pink, breeding time… crazy neon colors LOL. We have the Roseate Spoonbill. In Africa and the EU there is the White Spoonbill. BTW, there are currently 1,800 spoonbill photos on this site… 😳 I’ve been busy LOL
