This is a snag, or part of one, that is a well used resting place. All around this straight dead tree is flat, wet, and brackish marsh.

This day I spotted a Great Egret up top. I have probably photographed about every type of marsh bird up here over the years. If the light and sky hadn’t look good I might have passed on the shot totally.
