I enjoy taking shots like these, getting the composition, finishing the final development. I would never start with a blank slate though. Everything would be a jug and piece of fruit, with lots of dust.

Describing the work is an issue, and I’m guessing ‘still life’ would work, as long as it doesn’t sound too pompous.
