The Double-crested Cormorants have arrived. Each fall they move out into these big marshes in small flocks. A year round resident that likes to spend the winter here. Like the opposite of spending your summer at the beach.

They all seemed to be looking around diligently, on high alert. The only predators they have are the alligators while they are fishing. Eagles don’t bother them, they are too big.

Better safe than sorry I guess.
