One of those spots that can have any number of different birds sitting around. This time it was a juvenile Roseate Spoonbill. Earlier there were Egrets.
Thick trees, moss, and a water filled cut makes them comfortable and feel safe.

We had a few around the other day. If I get brave tomorrow may go out to the marshes. Ellen and I with new gear…and locked in by the cold !
Love the delicate colors of the immature spoonies. And the backdrop of soft Spanish moss just enhances their color. Nice!
