I need to pay closer attention: I assumed the trees in your photo were Bald Cypress, with their trunks spreading out into the water, and their russet fall color. Now I’m thinking I may have mis-identified the Swamp Tupelo in several locations I’ve visited. Oops! Thanks for the lesson!
