I only wear gloves around twice a year. Big ole heavy Woolrich type with finger holes. Came down from the north with me. Ellen has the usual knit thingies so she can feel the camera buttons.
It’s not cold by the usual standards. We have had the bird bath covered in ice a few mornings, it’s gone after the suns up. We have tropical birds and Alligators… it’s the people who get cold 🤣

They make a pair with half finger covering, top exposed, and a mitten top that pulls back and uses Velcro to hold it out of the way.the mitten also has an opening for the index finger. Basic all will photo gloves, mittens that slip over when not shooting. They are great for your weather. I still have mine ready if we head north…which we will probably do. 😳
And a 12-200 walk around lens that is usually on my camera…and now I find it elsewhere 😃. (My wife, she is changing from Canon to OM and we suddenly need some new lenses)

Great photo! And I really like the way that boardwalk winds through the habitat – it would allow you to get seriously close to some wildlife!
A place I rarely get critters 😒. This day a single Heron…well Ellen got a single Heron. I watched 😝
