Green Heron down in the far corner of the local rookery. Down here the Duck Weed gets very thick. The wind blows over the swamp surface pushing it to the corner. The perfect place for the smaller Herons to fish.

Beautiful photo, Ted. I just don’t quite understand why they call it a green heron when it’s mostly brown and reddish, with a fair bit of grey and purplish tones mixed in. Have a great day !
🤣😂🤣, for the same reason the small pure white Heron is a Little Blue Heron I guess. Eventual the white Little Blue does turn Magenta though…I’ll give them that.
