At the edge of this marsh the dike road slopes up leaving a lower hidden spot of reeds and grasses. The tree line there is a great place to find Bald Eagles.
Well, no Eagles this day but a small consolation prize of a Great Egret poking around the shallows.

I’ll take it. While we have plenty of Egrets I remember shooting up north… always happy for any good opportunities

Love the patterns the reeds make in the rippling water.
Those reeds have lately become a go to spot for me and the birds.
