These birds were part of a larger group of White Ibis. For some reason the flock had just done a mass exodus. Sometimes it’s a low pass by an Eagle, but not this time. More like a group panic attack.

Once in the air some flew off over the salt marshes, some dropped down in nearby trees.
These trees themselves turned out to be interesting when I looked at them closely. Top branches had a little decoration with Spanish Moss and lots of rough lichen.


They almost look like Grant white blossoms on the tree 😍
