The main house of the Magnolia Plantation is on the far side of the tree line. A gazebo backs up to a swamp pond once part of larger gardens. Look closely and you can see the large white columns of the manor house in the trees.

The swamps and marshes were never far from the main property. Unlike other plantations Magnolia never tried to change the land into a show wealth with formal gardens.
