Snowy Egret, Mangrove Reflections

Snowy Egret, Mangrove Reflections

This Snowy was walking in front of some mangroves.

For the most part the mangroves are green year round. A tough plant with huge roots that remove the salt from the water. However they are tropical, freezing temperatures killed their leaves all around this Florida salt marsh.

So now we have brown reflections all through the marsh photographs.

Note; I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m complaining. I’m typing this on an old farm house porch, down the end of a dirt road, surrounded by Spanish Moss. You can hear the swamp birds off through the trees.

Life is good.
