One of the most picturesque places I know.
I go there because I can take photographs slowly and enjoy using a camera, new looks, and ultimately do post processing in a way entirely different from my usual nature work.

Nice and quiet.
Most cabins are used only during revival meetings. I think it’s a week or two each year.
Ok thanks.
I can appreciate that too. A very nice set!
Makes photography fun again.
Nice, Ted. But just an observation. What if you could stand on one of the porches or at the end, and photograph down the line of porch roof posts out into the tall, straight line of trees? Could give one a little vertigo.
Good thought, but they are not quite in a straight line. 😁. All the cabins (tents) are in a circle around a central open tabernacle in the center. This goes back centuries, created by following the descriptions of worship in the book of (chapter) Leviticus.
I am a local history nerd since moving here. 😆
Random but nice!
Something different. I’m from up north where historic sites are either abstract thoughts or behind a fence and signs. Down here everything is all around and completely accessible. I can also view it from an outsiders point of view ie; the civil war.
