I see one bird with a twig, though it might be connected to something bigger. Both were working hard to get it placed in the perfect spot.
The big wading birds are not known for their construction skills, so whatever they decide it will be replaced soon anyway.

White birds are notoriously hard to photograph. My wife and I tend to use spot metering and custom settings. The OM systems have 3 variation of spot metering too. Options, options, 😁
