I even considered turning down the vibrancy slider on these shots. I mean, really, look at the colors of this bird.
They aren’t always this bright, it’s mating season and she was just leaving the nest.

A day when the Spoonbills cooperated nicely. I’m not sure how many gave us great opportunities, it it was one of the best mornings to photograph them.

🤩🥳😍💖🙌🏼 wow!!
😄😄
Well, it’s not “flashing”!
Pretty darn close when the tail flips though 😝😝
Love those colors!
The flash of orange is amazing. Nothing subtle about them.
Great captures Ted.
Thanks. I did get some good shots, better than I expected. I was using my Leica long lens. Still and hard to use for birds in flight. Right before the trip one of our OM lens needed recalibration. I had kept my Leica as a backup so we were good. The Leica glass is as expected, top notch. The physical design is horrid though. However it worked out.
Stunning.
I may have missed the Egret dances, but I hit the Spoonbills perfectly. The breeding adults are about 4 hours south of here, the juveniles stay here. So there are trips to be made each year. We go for a few days at a time. I can breakfast at home, lunch in St. Augustine/Titusville. It would be cool if I planned it that way, 😂😂. Some things work out.
Marvelous!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
The Spoonbills this year look to be having pity on me 😄
