We were shooting a nice spot with some mangrove and other brush that had various Tricolors and Little Blues poking around.
Trying not to shoot a gazillion images of them, on top of the ones shot the last few days I just stopped. Another bird walked out, moved on, came back out… that’s when I actually looked.
Reddish Egrets were right there, strolling slowly around me.
So I ultimately did shoot and whole bunch of images. 😝 I wonder how many I missed.

LOLOL it looks as if to say “I’m walking here. Thank you.” XD
They do have ‘attitude’.
Such a pretty bird.
And very animated when they hunt. Not many people know them, so forgive me if I am repeating stuff. But these Egrets likely will be a first casualty of our ignoring the climate. They can’t help it since they have no migration instinct at all. My guess is their small habitat range won’t all them to move more than 10 miles inland from the southern coast of Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
