The Egrets nesting there fits perfectly. The naturalist John J Audubon was related to the plantation family here. He worked/studied in this swamp. Makes sense that the Audubon Society has a dancing Egret as its logo. The family has always called this the Audubon swamp, though it’s privately owned, due to the family relationship.
