Green Heron In The Brush

Green Heron In The Brush

Exactly where I would expect to see one.

Where ever we go, if there is any brush along some water I know where to find Ellen.

We had once been photographing Spoonbill, multiple wading birds, and the Reddish Egrets. Ellen commented in passing  ‘there’s no Green Heron here’.

😆

    1. Thanks so much. These small Herons are not only beautiful but they constantly give us some great action photos. These birds will drop a stick, or small leaf, on the water. The movement can attract tiny fish. And of course the bird snatches a fish, and drops another leaf. During mating season we can get a lot of opportunities with them. After the chicks fledge, they disappear into the swamps for another year.
