A few of these birds have nested with all the other wading birds. They’re not as aggressive as the other bigger Egrets so they must be deeper in the brush.

I’ve only seen a full Cattle Egrets rookery once. We were lucky to hit the Okefenokee swamp with very high water once. The extra depth allowed us to go further in the swamp than usual and see their rookery. We were right in the middle of the Peach/White birds. Pretty spectacular.
