Young Spoonbills don’t have the crazy neon colors of the adults, but they also don’t have that green wrinkled bald head either.

Almost no light LOL. That part of the salt marsh becomes almost 100% glare when the sun hits it. Thanks
Just went to Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City and durung their bird show they have their demo birds fly inches over ypur head..the Spoonie dropped a feather right in my lap. Agreed, those adult heads are not very flattering
