A few years ago I met a man right in this spot who was out driving around the ACE Basin for the first time. He was from away and couldn’t believe there was any place like this in the US.

He told me “if you placed a Hippo in the middle out there you could be standing in Zambia”.

His daughter was starting school in the College of Charleston, he was here getting her situated. He was a safari guide in Africa.

This really is a beautiful spot.
