When I was growing up we called these ‘Black-eyed Suzy’.  I know that’s not correct, unless you come from NYC. Then the spelling fits the pronunciation perfectly.

The main shot here also includes a rather intimidating Wasp / Bee. I don’t mind getting close if I can for a shot with them, they rarely pay me any attention.

I try to make note of photographs taken with a flash. While these have the look of flash I don’t think any was used. I tend to push exposure comp down on these flowers.

The OM-1 family of bodies was created around nature photography, wildlife in particular. I find them very comfortable and well balanced. I think if you know the camera and pick your lenses carefully they can be good in just about any genre you choose.

An example should be how Ellen was shooting this morning. I noticed her using the OM-1 mk2, and the odd Olympus 14-42 pancake lens, with the iT32 GODOX flash on wide landscape and flower shots. I hope she publishes some because  that could be interesting.
