I grew up a city kid so I never thought about things like these flowers and how they might grow outside of a flower shop. I was reminded this photo was uploaded a while ago when I saw bright red growing by the back gate.
This image was taken on a swamp back trail in the Magnolia Plantation property. The trail cuts through a thick (gators) swamp and Hibiscus grow on the edges.
Specs; OM-1 mk2, OM 100-400 II, Lightroom.

I’ve never heard of them, looks really nice.
I’m thinking that’s a local name, but even knowing that much surprises me. Typically I call them big flowers.
