By now, with weeks of watching and photographing these plants, I can tell how these blooms close each morning.
First the dew, or rain, touches the flowers petals and after just a short time each drop makes the surface most transparent. You can most see through the leaves of the flowers.
Finally the flower folds inward. I’m not sure if the water pulls the leaves inward or not. I then to think the think braces push together though.
The entire process is actually fast. Which makes me think I could shoot a time lapse of this. I won’t, but I could. 🤣
