You hear a loud squawk, a splash, or both, and it’s the same thing.

One of them, went somewhere, did something, whatever, and now the chase is on.

Most of the time it’s over quickly. Other times they flap wings in the air, and then one is being chased by another.

If one is really angry the chase goes around and around in a circle over the swamp. Nothing is ever settled, a half hour later it’s a repeat.
