No time for anything on this shot. It was point and hold the back button focus.
He came out of a small island in a swamp like a shot. I’m not sure if he was making his escape or hoping some young would follow for flight school.
Once again a pre-focus saved me.
The heron is exquisite in its detail against the bokeh background.
