In summer this is where the Egrets and Herons will be. It adds an entire new set of challenges to photograph them.
The obvious is the sun and heat. In truth mid day everything has found some shade, not much to see which is just fine.
For me the bright sun is the worse issue. When the water is flat, no problem. A little wind and glare is horrid.
Because this is flat open country you will rarely be sneaking up on anything. Besides this is home to the Marsh Hen. They scream like a Banshee when they see people. At first it’s funny to see them scream and run across the top of the water. After a while it get’s old though.
Out in this type of location it’s a long lens and walk slow for me.
