Changing light here made the nice background tones. Overall I personally like these two photographs.
The small Heron was sitting on this trunk, along a dike, first thing in the morning. The trail led me right to him. I had no option but to pass right by, tall grasses covered each side of the path (marsh of course all around).

I kept expecting him to fly off at any moment so I shot a few photographs as I walked.
The first set were OK, but the light opened up a little and these came out much nicer. The soft look was probably due to the heavy moisture in the air. A typical hot and humid August.

The shot above would probably make a nice metallic print.
I just need another wall.
