One of the best opportunities for a flight shot is when an Egret or Heron slow to land in the marsh reeds.

The wings and layers of feathers are usually just about perfect for the shot.

For the birds this is a dangerous place to drop into. Some of these reeds are hard and sharp. I have seen more than one injured this way.

It’s a great place to hide and hunt so I guess it’s a trade off.
I just love the Great Egrets, and they are a challenge, being so white.
You are ever so right 🙂 , White bird and a bright sun…not a good combination LOL.
