Most confrontations between the larger birds is all posture and noise. Not this one. Even though one moved away the other bird continued the fight.

Yikes!! I’ll bet those sharp beaks can leave some painful injuries.
Good thing they don’t actually get physical often. They do have some deadly meetups with Great Blue Herons. Breeding season can be brutal.
