I’m not an expert on Swans, or even a big fan, but it can be a nice change of pace to photograph them.

Sumter, South Carolina, has a unique park, swamp, lake area.  It’s dedicated to Swans.

They have every species of Swan roaming free here. I had always assumed they had their wings clipped…until we were buzzed by a huge Australian Black Swan.

Walking through a swamp with Swans can provide photo op’s that are very different than the usual floating Swan.

The park side is known for having acres of Iris, it was too early since none were in bloom two days ago.

note; Alligators are quickly removed from the area as soon as they are seen.
