When an area becomes an establish rookery the number of nesting birds is really only limited by the good nesting sites. A decent tree or thick brush tends to be crowded, the birds deciding on how much space between nests is needed.

After a while everyone is too busy to fight with neighbors.

When shooting in a busy rookery a good rule is ‘check the wind direction’.
