Most of the basic Alligator shots we take are in the water. They spend most of the time floating around.
But we do bump into them on the dikes and trails.

Above the Alligator was resting by open water on the side of marsh reeds.

Here this guy stopped right in the middle of the dike.

Somehow you expect to see them in the water and not on land 😏. Very nice!
I agree. It’s a trap we all fall into. Always looking into the water around you leads to surprises. 😂😂. A swamp we visit has a large open water lake, which we always watch when walking. However, swamp on the other side has things of interest too. 😂🤣😂.
That second fella was playing, “I dare you pass!” 😲
And we didn’t. He was wedged in and only direction he could go was right where we had to walk.
