There were many opportunities with the Pelicans on this morning, but the ones I enjoyed the most were as they turned and rode the wind to shore.

Sunrise made the waves almost transparent in some places, the gold color was the best of the day.

While we have shot Pelicans quite a bit over the years I have never caught them working waves like this before. Crashing waves made these perfect for wider photographs.
