There are times things work out just as you hoped they would.
This Spoonbill was going in the total opposite direction, and away. However, a sharp turn and here we are.


We had the ‘big sky’ Carolina blue and the pretty pink giving a fly by.

Most of the other Spoonbill were on the far side of the water but this one choose to strike out on his own.

Magnificent shots, Ted! What a stunning bird, even more so in flight. These look like big birds.
Thanks so much. They are one of the tropical ‘rock stars’ around here. Always get attention. Average adult is a little over a meter tall. Not the biggest, but you should hear that ‘spoonbill’ snapping… I’ve seen them bite Alligators.
