This Great Egret looks to have a small fish and was heading straight for the high grasses. Stealing another’s fish is always easier than catching it yourself.

That Great Blue in the background would steal it in a second.

This is so common I noticed Ellen, PassingByPhoto.com, had published a shot like these. It turns out her photograph was from another trip to this marsh.  And that Egret was running away with a fish for the same reason.
