He was heading for a nest right over our heads. This rookery has nests all around, just far enough for the birds to be comfortable. They have nested here for years.
So close it filled my view finder and I cut off a toe. That’s usually an automatic delete. However, it’s A Wood Stork so low you could hear the wings.

It has been a good few weeks with the Storks, and Spoonbill. Thanks. While we all love the gaudy Spoonbill there’s something special about those big gawky Storks 🤣🤣
