When the man made marshes were first built it was never expected to be a large nature preserve. However, it’s big and all the locals moved in. To photographers it’s like Christmas.

Good joke 😅 This has become one of my absolutely favorite birding places in the past few years! Love spending hours there. And once you’re there, Merritt Island is so close – and even Circle B and Lake Apopka don’t feel so far very away. ☺️
