If you don’t watch closely it’s hard to tell the adult from the juvenile.
I don’t think there’s any doubt the young bird has already been out and flying around the swamp. He probably hasn’t learned how to feed himself very well, yet.
He came ‘home’ for a free meal.
There won’t be many more. The big chicks are almost brutal when demanding food. Adults can be hurt at this point.
The young one is big but it still needs to be fed.
