I’m so glad I shot wide on these. My first instinct is to zoom in to catch details of the bird. It can be a much more effective photograph with the environment on display.

When a Spoonbill first enters this marsh you almost hope it’s only one. Makes for an easy decision and many times in a few moments the others show up.

This was after the first had arrived so I was ‘almost ready’ for more.

Only a few came in this time. But really, the Spoonbills showed up. Been a slow fall for pink.
