There were a number of Snowy Egrets around this marsh. A perfect formula for one to have an ‘attitude attack’.
What I didn’t expect was one to come flying in to the middle of the group looking for trouble.
In typical Snowy fashion he came in all fired up.
He landed on the run, and kept on going.
Never dull with them.
I had a goofy Snowy play leapfrog along with my canoe for at least a half mile last week. Although he pretended to be fishing, I think he was more curious what I was doing floating by. Funny birds sometimes, as perfectly illustrated in your bottom photo! William
