The Spoonbill taking another’s branch actually gained a grand total of about 6 feet (2 meters) in the dead tree.

I bet that Anhinga was doing a fair bit of name calling for disturbing its sun time.
They do, but unlike the other birds, ready to fight, the Spoonbills don’t even react.
