I’ve been working lately with the big white Great Egrets. I don’t want to ignore the other star of the Egret family though.
Reddish Egrets aren’t as common, and don’t have the elaborate mating displays. However when it comes to dancing or drama they are masters.
Above is a Reddish Egret stalking his favorite prey… a tiny minnow.

This Egret is so photogenic. Anita
They are 😁, I agree.
Early morning on a salt marsh. Ocean water and inlets never disappoint.
Cool! I have not seen one yet!
The real ‘rock star’ of the bird world.
I love their dance!! I witnessed it a few times at J.N. Ding Darling on Sanibel.
One of my favorite places, especially for the reddish 👍👍
