A Great Egret towering over a juvenile Little Blue Heron.
The size discrepancy is real clear in this shot. However, those small Herons are not all that concerned about being around the bigger birds.
The water was like glass on this morning too.

We saw pairings like this at Huntington last February. The water surface is mirror flat, well, almost.
Little Blues will hang with just about any birds 😁😁. They are the only one who will stay with the Snowy Egrets, who will only stay with a Little Blue 😆😆😆. It’s a circle.
